Webinars are a great way to convey information – especially in a field that is changing and evolving as rapidly as aging in place. While the concept of aging in place is not new, there is a tremendous amount of information being released and exchanged for people to use in modifying their homes or planning for future needs.
This coming Monday, February 22, from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm eastern time, Lifeway Mobility, a company focusing on durable medical equipment, located in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and headed by Paul Bergantino, CAPS, is presenting a free webinar program for design professionals entitled “Design Strategies For Residential Aging In Place & Accessibility.”
The program’s focus is creating safe home environments that provide comfort, convenience, accessibility, and visitability. As CAPS providers, you know the importance of this, and this program will emphasize why this is such a vital part of home design – for new construction as well as renovations.
Specifically invited to attend the webinar are architects, home builders, interior designers, kitchen and bath designers, contractors, and remodelers, as well as other design professionals responsible for interpreting, anticipating, and understanding what people need to have in their homes that will help them live effectively in those living environments.
The program will provide design strategies and examples of how homes can be built or modified to eliminate many of the challenges that often are faced by people living in homes where these design features are taken into account and addressed.
By intentionally designing or renovating homes to provide passageways, doorways, windows, flooring, lighting, and kitchen areas – just to mention a few – that are safe, comfortable, convenient, and accessible, people will get much more satisfaction out of their homes. They will enjoy living there much longer, and if they decide to sell them at some future date, those homes will be more desirable to the general public as well because of the attention given to the design now.
I am presenting this program for Paul’s company and welcome anyone to register and attend. Advance registration is required to receive information on how to attend the broadcast.
Even if you have attended my CAPS classes or other programs, I invite you to participate in what I am going to be sharing on Monday.
