The disciplines and professional specialties represented by the attendees speak quite highly of the service that is now available to people who are seeking aging-in-place solutions and services to allow them to fulfill their objective of remaining in their current homes.
Just this year, there have been remodelers, home builders, real estate sales professionals, home stagers, occupational therapists (OTR/Ls), occupational therapy assistants (COTAs), physical therapists (PTs), physical therapy assistants (PTAs), assistive technology practitioners (ATPs), non-profits agency professionals, physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, public governmental employees, carpenters, roofers, plumbers, architects, university faculty, interior designers, decorators, durable medical equipment sales and installers, kitchen and bathroom showrooms, computer technicians, entrepreneurs, insurance agents, land developers, attorneys, handymen, financial planners, and many others.
The aging in place industry has room for many professionals, and we look forward to seeing even more specialties in attendance in 2017.
Classes are being set for the West Palm Beach, Florida area and in the Delray Beach or Boca Raton, Florida area also. There will be some 20 sets of classes offered between these locations, using a few different venues. Plans are also being made to return to some of the more successful locations in the Midwest and Northeast during 2017.

The need for people to remain in their home and for those homes to be safe, comfortable, convenient, accessible, and visitable for them and their visitors and guests is more apparent now than ever before. There is a lot of work to be done, and we need educated professionals to help them.
Now is the time to learn about what can be done, who can benefit from the services and solutions that we can offer, and to make plans to get the education. Also, the course materials are being updated so it may be the perfect time for a refresher. Contact Steve to learn about ways to sit in on a class this coming year or to get some of your colleagues and strategic partners certified.
Steve has been teaching these courses for 10 years and always holds a class if even one person is registered for it. When others might be canceling classes that were scheduled because only a few were registered, he holds the classes as advertised.
The schedule of classes for 2017 is being formulated now. Check Steve’s website to see what has been slated already and watch that site for new class dates and locations as they are posted.
For those already CAPS trained, tell your friends, colleagues, and professional associates about the courses. If you haven’t completed all three of the classes (or two of them if you qualify for the exemption), make the commitment to do so in 2017.
